Soy – Tempeh Fugit (2013)

Grindcore/Powerviolence (Victoria, BC)
Soy play a lot of metal riffs but their vocals and overall delivery make them sound like a powerviolence band, giving them a unique and original sound.  Tempeh Fugit is their third self-released recording.

xbrainiax – Disgrace to the Corpse of Eric Wood (2005)

Powerviolence (Clinton Township, MI)
xbrainiax were one of the more faster bands to play powerviolence.  Disgrace to the Corpse of Eric Wood is probably their most definitive release.

Weekend Nachos – Torture EP (2005)

Powerviolence/Hardcore (Chicago, IL)
Weekend Nachos are one of the bands that got me into powerviolence.  Torture was their first EP released on Tooth Decay Records.

Crucial Unit – Premium Iced Tea (2000)

Thrash (Pittsburgh, PA)
A friend told me about these guys a few years ago and this was the first album I heard by them.  I immediately had to find more of their music.  Although they disbanded in 2004, Crucial Unit were probably one of the most original bands to play fast, fun music.
